Precision Investment Casting

Investment casting (lost wax casting) is the method of choice for metal parts that demand complex geometries, controlled surface structure and repeatable production. The process allows finely detailed components to be manufactured with minimal machining — reducing cost and lead time for our international customers.

Using precision wax patterns and ceramic shell processes, Bordomet produces technical parts for valve and pump systems, industrial machinery, automotive, railway and defense applications. As an established casting company in Turkey, we combine European-standard quality control with competitive Turkish manufacturing costs.

Production is planned around part geometry, material properties and technical requirements — from single prototypes to serial production. Larger or simpler parts may be better suited to our sand casting line, and lightweight components to aluminum casting; our engineers will recommend the most economical route for your part.

Part Size & Weight Range

Investment castings from approximately 1 gram to 110 kilograms, in part sizes from roughly 3 mm to 850 mm — suitable for a wide range of geometries.

Precision & Surface Quality

Depending on geometry, our processes achieve ISO 8062 CT4–CT6 tolerance classes. Controlled ceramic shell structure delivers surface finishes generally in the Ra 3.2–6.3 μm range.

Serial Production Capacity

Bordomet operates with a monthly capacity of approximately 400 tons. Production is organized for serial continuity, process control and reliable delivery schedules.

OEM & Drawing-Based Production

We manufacture to customer drawings, technical specifications and project requirements. Geometry, tolerance expectations, surface requirements and process needs are all evaluated in production planning.

Quality Control & Laboratory Infrastructure

Dimensional verification, material analysis, mechanical testing and process controls run throughout the production flow. Our in-house laboratory supports production verification, process continuity and full traceability — essential for international OEM supply.

CMM Measurement

Coordinate measuring machines for high-accuracy dimensional inspection and verification.

Spectral Analysis

Spectrometers verify the chemical composition of every heat before pouring.

Ultrasonic Testing

Ultrasonic inspection of internal structure and casting integrity.

Hardness Testing

Quality Management System

IATF 16949 infrastructure work is actively in progress.

Control processes are planned around production verification, process continuity and keeping technical requirements under control. Production is managed with a traceable, controllable structure that meets OEM technical requirements.

05 — Production Process

The investment casting process

Investment casting proceeds through controlled, repeatable steps — from wax pattern to finished part.

Tooling

Manufacture of the metal injection die used to produce the wax pattern.

Wax Pattern Production

Wax is injected into the die to create an exact pattern of the part.

Ceramic Shell Building

The wax pattern is coated with layers of ceramic slurry and refractory sand.

Shell Drying

The ceramic shell is dried under controlled conditions to gain strength.

Dewaxing (Autoclave)

Wax is melted out of the ceramic shell in the autoclave.

06

Metal Pouring

Molten metal is poured into the prepared shell under controlled conditions.

07

Shell Knockout

After solidification, the ceramic shell is broken away to release the parts.

08

Fettling & Cleaning

Gate cutting, grinding and surface cleaning operations are applied.

Quality Control

Dimensional and metallurgical inspection confirms compliance with your specification.
